DESIGN
The Design team are experts in their field who’ve gained extensive experience of delivering housing developments throughout Scotland. Macleod and Jordan engineering expertise is led by Roddy MacLeod, who covers all aspects of civil works, structural design and surveys. The Architect, John Robb of McAdam Design, is widely experienced with a variety of works throughout the UK, including successful projects within Orkney. McAdam Design offices work in tandem with the engineering disciplines to provide efficient and accurate guidance ensuring work is executed properly and to a standard that gives complete confidence.
THE BUILDERS
Our team of tradesmen bring a wealth of experience and craftsmanship. Alfred Flett Ltd recently celebrated their 75th year in business and have served the Orkney Islands for generations, DH Construction carry out the joinery works, Ed Fraser Electricals and Paterson's Plumbing provide high standards of internal workmanship and the lead sub-contractor, Sam Robinson, a joiner by trade, has over 50 years of experience in construction and is a specialist in Insulated Concrete Formwork (ICF). All of them have deservedly gained a reputation for excellence and have established themselves as key members of the team.
QS
To make sure every home we build is as good as the last, a qualified Quantity Surveyor monitors the projects with periodic visits and monthly support, drawing on 36 years experience in the building industry throughout Scotland. Iain Blackburn’s depth and scope of experience is unique and has been gained through building firms based in Argyll which have included projects ranging from sheltered housing to the renovations of Castles in the western Isles. Spells with Edinburgh and Strathclyde councils, and a period as a building inspector for NHBC, have left Iain ideally placed to offer practical, invaluable advice.
LEGAL
